Neymar praises Brazil boss Diniz ahead of World Cup qualifiers

Before Brazil’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay, Neymar praised head coach Fernando Diniz, calling him “one of the best managers in the world.”

Already making an effect, Diniz has led the five-time world champions to victories in their first two qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru since being named Brazil’s national team leader in July.

Neymar told reporters on Tuesday that “Diniz is a great coach, one of the best we have in world football in my opinion.”

The most crucial aspect is the faith he instills in us and the autonomy he grants not only me but all the players.

Diniz, a manager and player in Brazil, is widely admired for leading Fluminense to the final of the Copa Libertadores, South America’s premier club competition, this season.

Neymar, who moved to Al Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain in August, anticipates a tough matchup against Venezuela, who currently hold the fifth spot in the South American qualification group with three points.

On Thursday, Brazil will play in Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba for the first time. The stadium was constructed for the 2014 Fifa World Cup. Temperatures in this city in central-western Brazil regularly exceed 40 degrees Celsius in the summer, making it one of the hottest spots in South America.

“It’s gоing tо be а tоugh gаme,” Neymаr sаid. I’ll be hоnest аnd sаy it’s scоrching оut here, but hаving grоwn up in Sаudi аrаbiа, I’m used tо the heаt. Everybоdy feels the heаt, but becаuse the gаme is аt night, mаybe it wоn’t be tоо bаd.

Brazil will play Uruguay in Montevideo at Estadio Centenario on the following Tuesday, after their encounter against Venezuela.
