Real Madrid renews and shields Fede Valverde and Camavinga
Juanma Castaño reported this Wednesday on COPE’s El Partidazo about the details of the renovations of two fundamental pieces at Real Madrid, with ‘anti-Arab’ clauses.
Real Madrid has closed the renewals of two footballers that it considers essential: Fede Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga.
Juanma Castaño told COPE’s El Partidazo this Wednesday the details of this news, which Real Madrid will make official in the next few hours. Fede Valverde, whose contract expired in 2027, has renewed for one more season: until 2028. And Camavinga had a contract until 2025 and his renewal is extended until 2028.
Of course his salaries have been improved. Both are key in the midfield of the Madrid team, and there was also the fear of an offer from a powerful market like the Saudi one. Precisely for this reason, their clause has also been raised to 1000 million euros, as Melchor Ruiz also pointed out.
Two key pieces in Ancelotti’s scheme
Eduardo Camavinga is one of the youngest footballers in the Madrid squad. At only 20 years old, he has not only earned a starting position at Real Madrid but he is also beginning to be one of the regulars in each call-up with the French National Team.
His physique, his vision of the game and his versatility in both the midfield and full-back positions have made him indispensable on Carlo Ancelotti’s lists. This season he has played all 11 official matches: 9 in the League and 2 in the Champions League.
Camavinga signed for Real Madrid in September 2021, and has already won six official titles: a League, a Copa del Rey, a Champions League, a Spanish Super Cup, a European Super Cup and a Club World Cup.
Fede Valverde rose from Real Madrid Castilla to the first team in the summer of 2018. He is another of the permanent midfielders both in his club and in his country’s national team. The Uruguayan, like Camavinga, has played everything this season, and so far, he has scored one goal: in the 2-1 victory against Real Sociedad.
He also scored a great goal against Naples in the Champions League, although UEFA decided to award it to the Neapolitan team’s goalkeeper in an own goal.
