Manchester United spent 60 million euros to bring in a player known as “Busquets 2.0.”

Right now, Manchester United needs a strong center midfield player who can dictate the play and keep the game moving at a fast pace. Their midfield has the experience of Casemiro and the aggression of Sofyan Amrabat, but Erik ten Hag, the coach, still needs an artist to bring their style of play together.

At first, it seemed doubtful that the Dutch captain would target Frenkie de Jong, his former student, as Barcelona was hoping to work out a contract extension with the former Ajax star.

The Red Devils are focusing on Martin Zubimendi because of this. Manchester United is reportedly considering spending 60 million euros to trigger the Real Sociedad star’s contract release clause, according to Fichajes sources.

Because of his playing style and resemblance to the great Barcelona player, the 24-year-old midfielder is regarded as the “Sergio Busquets 2.0” and is one of La Liga’s best passers.

But there are other teams who would like to sign him in addition to Manchester United. There have been rumors circulating recently regarding Mikel Arteta, the coach of Arsenal, seeking to convince his countryman to join the Emirates.
