In January, Harry McGuire might leave Manchester United for a different Premier League team.
It has been reported that West Ham is being urged to revive their pursuit of the England defender.
In the summer, the Hammers were heavily linked to a deal for Maguire.
Transfer rumors said they had agreed on a fee with United, but it never happened.
ESPN, however, now claims that West Ham plans to make a new bid for Maguire in January.
Red Devils are reportedly willing to let the center back go, and David Moyes’ team thinks the deal can be salvaged.
Kurt Zouma is the subject of attention from Saudi Arabia, and West Ham is eager to reach an agreement with the Frenchman for a new contract.
Maguire asserted earlier this week that he did not decline a summer transfer to the London Stadium.
The 30-year-old clarified to the public while serving his country’s needs, saying, “The actual opportunity to go to West Ham, it wasn’t really agreed upon between both clubs and myself.”
It was more than simply an opportunity for me to confirm my plans. We didn’t proceed with it far enough since the two clubs couldn’t agree, so the potential wasn’t really there.”
Maguire has had difficulty finding opportunities at Old Trafford this season. His contract expires in 2025.
Under Erik ten Hag, he has only made four appearances; last weekend’s Premier League match against Brentford was his only start.
