He still has a keen admirer in Arteta

The Blues’ star player may have joined an opponent of Chelsea

World-famous football journal The Athletic has released a report by Chelsea correspondent Liam Twomey examining the transfer battles between the two teams before of this weekend’s major clash at Stamford Bridge.

According to the source, current Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta coveted Chelsea star Raheem Sterling and continues to be a fan of the English international.

In the summer of 2022, Chelsea’s manager, Todd Boehly, spent 47.5 million pounds for a player named Raheem. At the time, he was considered a fantastic addition to the team’s assault.

A year later, it’s clear that Raheem hasn’t made the impact that was hoped for, but it’s important to put that in the perspective of Chelsea dismissing Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter and bringing in Frank Lampard for the balance of the 2022/23 season.

Although he should have done better since joining, the performance last weekend against Burnley suggests that his ability has not yet reached its expiration date. The attack has not been settled, and on-field relationships have not had time to develop and flourish.

Premier League duo could challenge Barcelona for Chelsea star

The Premier League may offer Ian Maatsen a transfer in 2024 despite interest from Barcelona.

After spending last season on loan at Burnley, the Dutch international has broken into Chelsea’s first team this season.

His playing time has risen in recent weeks due to injuries, giving him a chance to cement his place as a starter for Chelsea.Since his current contract will expire at the end of the season, teams all over Europe are keeping tabs on him in anticipation of a potential free transfer.

Barcelona would have an early advantage in that race due to the fact that they may begin negotiations in early January, but Teamtalk.com claims that they will have competition from English clubs.

Both West Ham and Manchester City want to strengthen their rosters, with the former offering Champions League football and the latter promising more playing time for the first team.
