Devin Booker took all the limelight, turning Curry into an invisible man

Suns' Devin Booker hyped up, with Warriors' Stephen Curry looking disappointed

Due to a toe problem, Devin Booker was added to the Phoenix Suns’ injury list on Tuesday morning for their 2023–24 season opener versus the Golden State Warriors. However, Booker put up a lot of effort to play for the Suns, and he had every right to. After blowing out the Warriors in the opening quarter of their new season, it was immediately evident that Booker wasn’t at all intimidated by the blow he was carrying.

What sore left big toe? Devin Booker scores 15 points in 1st quarter of opener

The Suns made it a point to place Booker in advantageous situations; one would assume that the Warriors would always want Klay Thompson to be on Booker. Rather, on numerous occasions, the Suns player exerted himself against Stephen Curry, forcing the Dubs to play with his expertise in the pull-up technique. And Booker made sure the Suns didn’t fall behind as the Warriors bench revitalized the club by scoring 15 points on 5-7 from the field and 2-3 from beyond the arc at the end of the first quarter.

Fans of the Suns would know that Devin Booker is no stranger to this. Booker has had his share of scorching runs in the past. The Suns star had a run of games in the 2023 playoffs where he appeared unbeatable and proved that his midrange jumper could score in any situation.
