Google Pixel’s NBA sponsorship continues for third season

The partnership between Google Pixel and the NBA continues into its third season with the Pixel 8 Pro serving as the “Official Fan Phone of the NBA.” This year’s campaign, titled “Built Different,” showcases comedian Druski as he embarks on his quest to join the League through various roles such as player, photographer, stylist, or agent, utilizing the Pixel 8 and its advanced AI-powered features.

During NBA broadcasts, the Pixel 8 Pro will be prominently featured in Bay, with Google highlighting key functionalities like Call Screen, Audio Magic Eraser, and Live Translate.

It will feature Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jalen Green, and Kelsey Plum, while Jimmy Butler is a new addition this year:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo: “I’m incredibly excited to maintain my collaboration with Team Pixel this year, as we strive to enhance the NBA fan experience through the power of Google technology. Over the past three years, our partnership has fostered a vibrant community, offering fans unprecedented avenues to express their passion while enjoying a great deal of excitement. Throughout this season, you’ll find me both on and off the court, demonstrating how Pixel sets itself apart from the rest, exemplifying top-notch quality and innovation.”
  • Jimmy Butler: I’m thrilled to join Team Pixel and be a part of Google’s latest campaign for the NBA season. Every fan dreams of reaching the League, but they understand that it takes a unique approach to succeed. It was a great experience challenging Druski to embody an NBA prospect and demonstrating what it truly takes to make it. I look forward to continuing my collaboration with Google this year, showcasing how the Pixel 8 can provide fans with an unparalleled connection to the game, both on and off the court. Let’s have some fun this season!

The spots, which span TV, digital, and social, will debut at the NBA Tip-Off with the Los Angeles Lakers facing the Denver Nuggets. There will even be a segment/integration with Ernie Johnson during TNT’s Inside the NBA, while there will be an “entire season’s worth of content.”
