Damian Lillard’s image as a “family man” has suffered greatly.

According to RadarOnline, after Lillard filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Kay’La Lillard, on October 2, just days after leaving the Portland Trail Blazers, she subsequently requested sole custody of the couple’s three children.

Kay’La seemingly ripped Lillard in response to the divorce petition, saying he had “never been the sole parent responsible for the care of all three of our children for any hours-long period of time without the help of nannies, assistants, and/or family members.”

“Father chose when and how much he saw the children while the children lived with me full-time in my home,” she went on to say.

“When Father was in town and not traveling for basketball, publicity, endorsements, or his music endeavors, he would pop over to visit for anywhere between thirty minutes and an hour to play with the kids while I was there or while a nanny was present a few times a week.”

Kay’La went on to say that Lillard being a family man was a lie that she helped spread around the world.

“I understand he is busy and has many commitments he must attend to,” she went on to say. “I also understand that the ‘Damian Lillard’ brand must maintain an image of a family man.” Despite our separation for several months, I have maintained that public image.”

Kay’La claims she and Dаme have been separated since October of last year, but according to his divorce papers, he resided with the family until late December.
