As the rivalry between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers escalates, Jamal Murray and LeBron James prove that camaraderie can transcend fierce competition.

 

Murray, the guard for the Denver Nuggets, recently took to Instagram to share a touching post about LeBron James, the Lakers’ forward. The post featured an unseen video capturing a heartfelt exchange between James and Murray, alongside Murray’s younger brother, Lamar, following Tuesday’s game between the Nuggets and the Lakers.

 

Murray’s caption read, “The side that they don’t see.”

 

While it may seem like the Nuggets and Lakers are locked in intense rivalry from an outsider’s perspective, this display of sportsmanship between James and Murray reveals the bond that exists beneath the surface. Last season, the Nuggets defeated the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals on their way to securing the NBA title. The banter and rivalry between the two teams continued throughout the offseason and into the current season, with the Nuggets once again besting the Lakers on Opening Night with a final score of 119-107.
