Prior to tomorrow’s game, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino praised a Brentford player as fantastic

Before tomorrow’s Premier League matchup, Mauricio Pochettino, head coach of Chelsea, lauded Brentford’s Thomas Frank.

On Saturday afternoon, Chelsea will welcome Brentford at Stamford Bridge. The Bees have won the previous two meetings between the teams.

This season, the Blues are embarking on a new era with Mauricio Pochettino at the helm. He’s off to a good start and winning over fans, even if the outcomes have yet to catch up to his stellar showings so far.

Meanwhile, Thomas Frank has shown to be an excellent leader for Brentford. The 50-year-old’s contributions to Brentford as manager have been widely underappreciated since he was hired in 2018.

Pochettino has spoken highly of Brentford’s manager.

The two will meet tomorrow afternoon in a league game that should feature a physical and fast-paced performance from both teams.

Via Football.London, Pochettino praised Frank, saying, “He is doing a fantastic job in a club that can develop his idea.” In my opinion, he is doing an outstanding job.

It’s interesting to note that Frank acknowledged Frank’s praise during his own press conference on Friday. The manager at Brentford remarked that during his coaching career, Pochettino has been “fantastic.” This was posted on the club’s X account.

London’s rivalries

This season’s Premier League schedule features numerous London derbies due to the high concentration of London-based clubs.

So far this league season, results against London clubs have been uneven. Last Saturday, the Blues hosted Arsenal and played to a 2-2 draw. They had previously won 2-0 on the road against Fulham and lost 3-1 at West Ham.

To round out their London schedule in the first half of the season, Chelsea still has to face Brentford, Tottenham, and Crystal Palace.

The Blues’ dominance in London over the previous two decades is without dispute, especially when considering their European and domestic trophies together. The noise level from several of the neighbors has increased significantly this winter.
