Austin Reaves revealed how LeBron James reacted after Cam Reddish missed the game-winning shot in the Lakers vs. Heat matchup

In the final possession with the Lakers trailing by one point, LeBron James, rather than driving through defenders for a layup, passed the ball to an open Cam Reddish, who ultimately missed the shot.

According to Reaves, LeBron’s reaction in the locker room was supportive. He immediately approached Cam and said, “Nah, that’s a good shot. If the situation happens like that again, we’re gonna give it right back to you, and you’ll knock it down.” This gesture demonstrates LeBron’s confidence in his teammates, as Reaves pointed out, “That’s major, happened to me in the past with Bron.”

In that crucial moment, LeBron James had been driving to the rim against Jimmy Butler, a matchup he had been successful with throughout the game. As he made his move towards the basket, Bam Adebayo came over to help Butler, leaving Cam Reddish wide open in the corner. James delivered a perfect pass to Reddish, who, unfortunately, missed the wide-open three-pointer, resulting in the Lakers’ loss.

There has been criticism from fans regarding LeBron’s decision to pass the ball instead of taking the shot himself, but this has been a recurring theme in James’ career. He consistently seeks the best shot available, whether it’s his own or one for a teammate, emphasizing the team’s success over individual accolades.
