‘Machine’! After Friday night’s victory over Tottenham, Nicolas Jackson praised his 23-year-old Chelsea teammate

Chelsea secured a much-needed three points in the Premier League on Monday evening with a 4-1 triumph.

Mauricio Pochettino’s return to North London was a triumphant one, as his Chelsea side became the first to defeat Spurs in the league this year.

They are now in 10th place, with 15 points after 11 games. The Blues’ next game is on Sunday against league leaders Manchester City, right before the international break in November.

There were goals, disallowed goals, red cards, and a VAR debate in Monday night’s London derby.

Spurs took the lead with a deflected shot from Dejan Kulusevski in the sixth minute, but the game slowed down after that when Spurs received the first of their two red cards.

After Cole Palmer scored from the penalty spot after a harsh foul by Cristian Romero, the score was knotted at one. John Terry, a legend for the Blues, was livid on X that Romero wasn’t sent off earlier in the piece for kicking out at Levi Colwill while the latter was on the ground.

In the 55th minute, Destiny Udogie was correctly assessed a second booking and subsequently sent off for Spurs.

Honours to Conor Gallagher

Chelsea kept the 23-year-old Conor Gallagher, along with Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, in the middle of the field.

There is some strange backlash against Chelsea after their victory against Spurs.

The Blues did seem sloppy at times and were unable to seal the deal until the final seconds of the game.

But we must not forget that at home, they defeated the unbeaten Spurs by a score of 4-1.
