Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks Took a Huge Step to ‘Enhance Each Other’

It’s no secret that for the Milwaukee Bucks to succeed, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard must be on the same page. Milwaukee’s new superstar combo has shown flashes of brilliance in their first few games together, but there’s no denying that this duo is still a work in progress.

We’ve all seen what Giannis and Dame can accomplish on the court together, and when they’re on, the rest of the NBA is terrified. What we’ve also seen is that these two still need to put in a lot of effort to achieve the correct amount of chemistry between them.

This, it turns out, is precisely what these two have been up to behind closed doors. According to Bleacher Report and TNT NBA insider Chris Haynes, Lillard traveled to Antetokounmpo’s house this past weekend to exercise and watch video with him:

“But those two are working behind the scenes trying to get things together,” Haynes stated on a recent episode of #thisleague UNCUT, his podcast with Marc Stein (h/t HoopsHype). “I know Dame was at Giannis’ house over the weekend working out, they were watching movies, those two are dedicated to trying to improve each other collectively.” This, in turn, will improve the team’s performance. As a result, they’re doing everything they can behind the scenes to make this situation a success.

“However, it will be a work in progress.” You can see it, and you can even see it because they aren’t winning. The magnitude of the Celtics’ early success suggests that it will take time, but no one in the organization, from players to coaches, is concerned. But, yeah, it will take some time.”

Bucks fans will be pleased to learn how dedicated their two superstars are to the cause. Giannis and Lillard didn’t need to put in any extra work because they’ve had plenty of it in practice, but they both chose to reallocate some of their personal time in order to get a few more reps in together.

However, as Haynes stated, we should not expect instant results. These things take time, and Milwaukee fans will simply have to be patient.

They will arrive.
