Austin Reaves Gives This Credit To Anthony Davis’ Big Night Against Portland

On Sunday night, your Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 116-110 in their sixth game of the season. It was a challenging game, as the team was forced to play without star player LeBron James due to injury.

In James’ absence, the Lakers were led by another potential first-ballot Hall of Famer, Anthony Davis, who finished with 30 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and three blocks. The Lakers center had a tremendous night as the team won handsomely despite the absence of their skipper.

Guard Austin Reaves talked about Davis’ performance and how his haircut gave him a hint that a great game was on the way.

“After seeing the film tonight, I knew this would be a great day for him.” When you have Anthony Davis, you always have a chance.”He changes the gameplay.”

Austin Reaves of Spectrum SportsNet says

Davis has been playing incredibly well this season, with the exception of the second half of the season’s first game against the Denver Nuggets. It’s been incredible to see the star player act as if he’s taken the performance seriously.

This season, Davis has averaged 23.9 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks per game. Despite the tiny sample size, he is the early favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.

The squаd will rely on him to stay motivated and involved throughout the season, especially if Jаmes is unable to play. However, Davis’ health is also critical because he has had some injury difficulties over the years.

Davis must be on the court for the Lakers to have an advantage on both ends of the game. When he’s healthy, he’s a game changer, and LA benefits significantly from his presence.
