J. (born Jermaine) and Drake (born Aubrey Graham) both scored their first No. 1 singles with this song. Drake is now tied with Michael Jackson for the most No. 1 singles by a male artist.

Directing First Person Shooter was Gibson Hazard, who has also worked on music videos for Lil Uzi Vert, Metro Boomin, and Lil Nas X.
At the outset of the music video, Kevin Malone himself, played by Brian Baumgartner (The Office, 2005–2013), played a computer game while “managing” a bunch of dummies at work.
The CEO called the 50-year-old Daytime Emmy winner, who was playing ping pong with Drake and J. Cole in an office that changed into a stadium.
The Grammy-winning musician, who played shooting guard for the Scarborough Shooting Stars the previous season, displayed his basketball prowess while donning a Spider-Man costume.
Not to be outdone, Drake – who was also dressed like Spider-Man – then magically launched the basketball around the Earth before its flaming landing within the hoop at Scotiabank Arena.
