‘My garden is full of dust!’

The ridiculous €22 million mansion that Cristiano Ronaldo is building in Portugal, complete with a theater and tennis court, is causing tension with his neighbors.

Residents of Cristiano Ronaldo’s hometown of Lisbon have voiced their opposition to the soccer star’s intentions to build a new villa there. The site is near Cascais, roughly 20 minutes west of Lisbon, and is valued at €22 million (£19.2m/$23.9m), according to Marca. The four-story home will include glass facades to take advantage of the stunning vistas, making it the most expensive home in Portugal. In addition to four opulent rooms, there will be a theater, fitness center, and tennis field.

Constructing such a sophisticated structure has not been without its share of challenges. The budget has reportedly had to be increased and the timeframe extended, which has not gone over well with Ronaldo’s potential neighbors, according to the Spanish publication Ok Diario (via Marca).

After three years of construction, a local of Cascais complained to Ok Diario. The home is so massive that it resembles a medical facility. My neighborhood has been closed off for months, and the dust has covered my garden. It’s all because to King Ronaldo’s ‘pyramid’ of success.
