Scotsman Scott McTominay’s enraged post-match interview sees him ‘tear’ over Georgia’s αntics

The antics of the Georgian players during tonight’s Euro 2024 qualifying draw in Tbilisi have left Scott McTominay fuming.

After the match, McTominay, a midfielder for Manchester United who scored Scotland’s first goal, spoke to Viaplay Sports. He appeared visibly frustrated as he criticized the Georgians’ “disgraceful, cry baby” behavior and insisted it was unacceptable on the field of play.

“Every game at this level is big and they’ve got some really good footballers, but tonight the way they were acting on the pitch, I thought it was a disgrace in terms of provoking the referee and of course us players as well,” screamed McTominay, his emotion boiling over.

It’s not how things should happen, but that’s just the way football is, so we have to keep our cool. That’s tough. Even though there are a few people in the locker room who aren’t happy about it, I think we can still take pride in that we made it back twice.

Well, it’s not easy. People who act hurt when they aren’t actually hurt need to be dealt with.

“The оther teаm wаs аctively trying tо prоvоke the referee, but we wаnted tо get оn the field аnd win the gаme, sо it’s hаrd tо sаy whо wаs mоre disruptive.”
