When it came to the Los Angeles Lakers’ new in-season tournament court, LeBron James wasn’t playing around.

Prior to Tuesday’s in-season tournament game between the Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer was observed inspecting every square inch of the floor.

The NBA will introduce an in-season tournament beginning with the 2023–2024 season, which will need the construction of new courts for each devoted game.

In stark contrast to the more conventional lighter shade, the Lakers installed yellow and purple striped flooring at Crypto.com Arena, their home stadium.

James arrived on the court early to survey the surroundings before the game, squeaking and dragging his sneakers around the floor.

He is seen strolling the whole length of the court, from baseline to baseline, in the 56-second clip that ESPN and the Lakers released.
