Soccer sensation Giannis Antetokounmpo, a hero for the Bucks, visits Madrid and takes pictures with superstar Vinicius Jr. before exchanging autographed jerseys

On Thursday, NBA player Giannis Antetokounmpo spent some time with Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid to express his gratitude for another sport.

Along with signing jerseys, Antetokounmpo and his brothers posed for photos with Vinicius.

While seeing his brother Kostas compete for the Greek national team in FIBA Internal Cup qualifying, Antetokounmpo has returned to Europe with his family.

With their respective teams, Antetokounmpo and Vinicius are getting ready for the next campaign.

Real Madrid, led by Vinicius, will start defending their La Liga championship after finishing 13 points ahead of Barcelona in second place.

In 52 games across all competitions, Vinicius recorded 20 goals and 20 assists.

Back in July, superstar Vinicius Jr. grinned as he held the UEFA Champions League trophy.

In contrast, Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks placed third in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. After that, they advanced to the Eastern Conference playoffs before the Boston Celtics defeated them in seven games.

In 67 regular-season games, he averaged 5.8 assists, 11.6 rebounds, and 29.9 points.

The addition of free agent forward Joe Ingles was Milwaukee’s most significant off-season move. The organization is returning most of its squad in an effort to recreate the magic of an NBA Finals triumph similar to what it saw in 2020–21.
