Saudi Arabian teams are reportedly eyeing a €20m transfer for Christian Eriksen, another star currently on Man Utd’s roster

United will face a tough trip to Everton on Sunday, marking their return to Premier League action following this year’s penultimate international break.

The 20-time English league champions are in the eye of the storm as a number of their superstars seek exits in January, even though they have won four of their past five league games.

Is Eriksen finished?

The Frenchman’s alleged January departure from the team has fueled ongoing rumours in British media regarding a rift between him and manager Erik ten Hag.

Along with the World Cup champion, Casemiro is reportedly considering a move away from the club as a result of its present trajectory, drawing interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Middle Eastern clubs are reportedly eyeing Christian Eriksen, another midfielder, for a surprise January transfer, according to journalist Ekrem Konour’s tweet.

In a tweet, the Saudi Arabian teams were said to be keeping an eye on Christian Eriksen’s condition and were considering a €20 million bid for the Danish player.

With only 18 months remaining on his contract, the Dane, who joined on a free transfer last summer, has failed to make an impact in crucial away games.

The departure of yet another midfielder

In United’s first season under the new manager, he had a solid relationship with Casemiro, but this year, they’ve both struggled and looked to have lost some of their speed.

During his first season with the Red Devils, the Danish international played in 44 games in all competitions, scoring twice and setting up another two goals. This season, he has made fifteen appearances and has two assists.

Prior to the match against the Toffees, Ten Hag revealed that the 31-year-old will be sidelined for a few weeks after withdrawing from international duties midway through the week.

Ten Hag will need all the help he can get to rescue the current campaign due to injuries and bad form, therefore United could be willing to consider such a sale in the summer.
