On their 32nd anniversary, Magic Johnson says to his wife Cookie, ‘I will always honor and support you’

Magic Johnson and his spouse, Cookie Johnson, are commemorating a “very special anniversary.”

The 64-year-old NBA veteran celebrated the momentous event on Thursday by sharing a poignant tribute on Instagram.

The description of a reel including adorable pictures of the couple over the years read, “Today and for many years to come, I celebrate my wife of 32 years, Cookie Johnson, on this very special anniversary,” Magic wrote.

Magic went on: “Therefore, they are no longer two but one flesh, according to Matthew 19:6. We have thus genuinely endured the test of time because “what God has joined together, let no one separate,” and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“I appreciate your everlasting love and encouragement you give me each and every day,” the former Lakers player wrote in a post to his wife.

“Love for Christ, dedication to our family, and heart” are what inspire Cookie, Magic continued, to “be the best man I can be.”

Magic wrote, “I will always honor and support you in any way that I can, now and forever,” as a conclusion to his caption. “Happy Anniversary!”

Magic and Cookie dated intermittently for more than ten years after they first met in 1978 at Michigan State University. On September 14, 1999, they were married in a small ceremony in Magic’s hometown of Lansing, Michigan.Magic Johnson Surprises His ‘Absolutely Stunning’ Wife Cookie with a Greece photo shoot

“We had a fantastic dinner at the renowned Da Paolino Ristorante, also known as the Lemon Tree Restaurant, in Capri, Italy, tonight!” Johnson sent a letter on July 12. Additionally, I had the opportunity to spend time with Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, John and Vicki Palmer, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, my amazing buddy and the greatest basketball player to have ever lived, Michael Jordan, and his wife Yvette.

Magic wrote on August 5, “Cookie and I would like to express our gratitude to everyone of our pals who came along on our 2023 vacation! We laughed a lot, had wonderful chats, and enjoyed some delicious food! We have some alone time now, and I’m looking forward to dating, having fun, and watching a lot of movies together over the next week,” the user wrote on social media.

The pair spent some time in Croatia as the last stop on their European vacation. Magic said that he and Cookie “shared a beautiful night in Dubrovnik, Croatia” and that they had supper at the Nautika Restaurant in an Instagram post.

Magic captioned a carousel of adorable pictures of him and his wife on Instagram, saying, “The view was spectacular, and the food was amazing.”

Magic mentioned that the Nautika Restaurant was “right behind” Fort Lovrijenac, “where Game of Thrones was filmed,” in addition to the “amazing” food that was served for dinner.

After “a beautiful week” of “hanging out, dating, reminiscing, and watching Special Ops: Lioness with Zoe Saldana, Hijack with Idris Elba, and other TV shows and movies,” Magic continued what he and his wife of more than thirty years had had.
