With another NBA record, LEBRON James has further cemented his legend.
In their Tuesday night game against the Utah Jazz, the 38-year-old star of the Los Angeles Lakers became the first player in NBA history to surpass 39,000 points in his career.
James needed just five points to win going into the game, and he did so at the Crypto.com Arena in a matter of minutes.

Following the icon’s momentous night, fans went to X, formerly known as Twitter, with great speed.
One fan wrote, “This is why LeBron is better than [Michael] Jordan.”
Then someone else said, “Imagine what his numbers will be after 10 more seasons.”
Another replied: “No one will ever break his record when it’s all said and done they would have to maintain excellence for 25 years.”
However, not every fan agreed that this solidified James’ place as the greatest of all time; one fan said, “I still like Jordan.”
If breaking the NBA record wasn’t enough, on Tuesday James joined Vince Carter at 2,290 to move up to eighth place all-time in three-pointers made.
But he still needs to go if he wants to finish sixth and catch Damian Lillard’s 2,421.
In February, James surpassed the long-standing 38,387 scoring mark held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA’s all-time top scorer.
However, James still lags behind Abdul-Jabbar in terms of field goals made; LeBron leads the record with 15,837, while Abdul-Jabbar is second all-time.
In addition, Abdul-Jabbar may still gloat about his MVP honors.
Michael Jordan and Bill Russell are tied for second place with five, while his six continues to be an NBA record.

With four, James and Wilt Chamberlain are in third place.
James is presently fifth in the world behind Karl Malone, Moses Malone, and Kobe Bryant in terms of free throws made.
In terms of assists overall, he is fourth after Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, and John Stockton.
