Latest Update on Anthony Davis’ Injury Status for Lakers-Pistons Matchup

The Los Angeles Lakers and Detroit Pistons will square off on Wednesday night in Michigan.

Anthony Davis is listed as probable for the game on the injury report, so he should be available.

With 17 games played so far this season, Davis is shooting 54.6% from the field and averaging 21.8 points, 12.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.8 blocks per game.

The Lakers are ranked seventh in the Western Conference after going 10-8 in their first 18 games.

They have lost seven of their last ten games, going 7-3. Most recently, they were defeated 138-94 by Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Davis shot 7/14 from the floor and finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 32 minutes of action.

In his fifth season with the Lakers, Davis is coming off a season in which he shot 56.3% from the field and averaged 25.9 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game.

The Lakers’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, when they face the Oklahoma City Thunder, after their game against the Pistons.

 

The Pistons, meanwhile, are currently ranked 15th in the Eastern Conference after going 2-15 in their first 17 games.

They are now on a 14-game losing streak. The New York Knicks will be their next opponent on Thursday, following the Lakers, at Madison Square Garden.
