As of July 2022, the renowned Spanish midfielder had officially left Manchester United and had played for Vissel Kobe and Galatasaray.
Even though his involvement in the most recent trophy is debatable, Mata has now won two league titles at both teams since leaving Manchester, following last weekend’s shenanigans.
On Saturday, the 35-year-old Spaniard and his team celebrated their J-League championship, but one of the original season-openers was unfortunately unable to partake in the festivities.
Juan Mata communicates with Andres Iniesta
At the start of the season, Andres Iniesta was on the Vissel Kobe squad. However, he eventually left because he didn’t get enough playing time. It is true what you sаy.
This meant that Iniesta, even though he wasn’t physically present, was nonetheless counted as a winner during the festivities. Juan Mata posted the following message to his Instagram stories to offer his congratulations to the renowned Spaniard:
My deepest gratitude for all the hard work you’ve put in over the years, @andresiniesta8, and congratulations on leading the club to this point! Even though we can’t be with you physically, your legacy will live on.
Mata, who was Iniesta’s peer, paid tribute in a touching way. Even with his arrival, the experienced Spanish player has seen just 10 minutes of action this season. It is evident that Vissel Kobe does not value their elders.
Setting aside the jokes, it seemed to work out well for them, as they won the Japanese championship with a game to spare.
Juan Mata has won two championships in just six months
In addition, he shared a photo of himself holding the league trophy, along with the following caption:
Won two domestic leagues in as many months after failing to do so for fifteen years. Never stop sending them!
Bruno Fernandes, who is currently captain of Manchester United, praised his former comrade and remarked on the matter:
“Champion” is writing on it. Along with the FA Cup, Europa League, and Champions League (won with Chelsea), Mata can now add two league titles to his impressive trophy case. Juan, I’m all in!
