Erik ten Hag confirmed Van de Beek may leave Manchester United

After the struggling midfielder Donny van de Beek revealed he was seeking a new club, Erik ten Hag confirmed the player may leave Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag has given his support to Donny van de Beek’s January transfer request, following the midfielder’s recent claims that he wants out of Old Trafford.

United signed Van de Beek from Ajax for £35 million during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign, but he hasn’t had much playing time since.

But injuries and bad form have dogged the Dutchman’s English career, leading to the early termination of his loan deal at Everton.

Despite Ten Hag having worked with Van de Beek before at Ajax, United has let him sink in the rankings over the last year.

Van van Beek’s already tough time breаking into United’s starting lineup has taken a turn for the worst after the arrival of Kobbie Mainoo, who will likely leave the club in the near future.

Ten Hag has acknowledged that he may be better off leaving United, given he has made only six Premier League appearances in three years and has stated his intention to do so.

“I can see he has to play for his career and for everything,” Ten Hag said during a press conference on Friday, just before his team traveled to Newcastle for the weekend.

Even though he arrived three years ago, the 26-year-old has failed to live up to the hype around his potential to revamp United’s midfield.

Van van Beek has only played in 62 games for United so far, but he has already scored twice.

Although he has no qualms about joining the Premier League, he has stated that he is prepared to take on a new challenge in the coming year.

When asked about playing matches again, he answered, “I am bouncing.” This comment comes from The Mirror. Managerial decisions are shifting at the moment. There is a large squad waiting for us, and I am not alone in making this request. In January, we will observe the outcome.

If not with Manchester United, then with another team, I need to be in the game soon. My gut tells me that I ought to aim high.

The game has always held a special place in my heart. To put it simply, football drives me insаne. United pays the bills, but that’s not why I work here. Every day, I want to experience delight in my work.
