Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Historic NBA Achievement Steals the Show in Hawks-Bucks Clash

During the game on Saturday, Antetokounmpo rose up the NBA’s all-time scoring chart.

The Milwaukee Bucks will host the Atlanta Hawks in Wisconsin on Saturday night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo made NBA history throughout the game by climbing up the all-time scoring chart.

With 16,817 career points going into the evening, Antetokounmpo has surpassed Elton Brand (16,827) for 101st place on the list.

The next player he will pass after Brand is Hall of Famer Bob Cousy (16,468).

Prior to the game, Antetokounmpo had averaged 29.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 23.5% from three-point range and 60.1% from the field in 18 games.

The Bucks are now ranked third in the Eastern Conference after going 13–6 in their first 19 games.

They have gone 8-2 in their last ten games, with their most recent defeat coming in an overtime 120-113 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Antetokounmpo shot 11/17 from the field and finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and five blocks in 39 minutes of action.

Currently in his eleventh NBA season, Antetokounmpo has spent the last seven seasons leading the Bucks to the postseason.

The Bucks won the NBA Title in 2021 after defeating the Phoenix Suns in the Finals.

 

With a career average of 22.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game over 737 regular season games, Antetokounmpo shoots 28.6% from three-point range and 53.9% from the field.
