Following an outstanding performance in his team’s Premier League victory over Brighton, Mykhailo Mudryk professed his “love” for Chelsea supporters.
The Stamford Bridge encounter began with the Ukrainian taking the field first, and shortly after the hour, James Milner took him down, earning him a penalty. Chelsea was reduced to ten men at that point in the game, and their lead was still just one goal.
Although Mudryk has suffered since leaving Shakhtar Donetsk for a large salary, he was still able to show off his lightning-fast speed against the Seagulls. The 22-year-old, despite his lackluster play, was quick to thank Chelsea supporters for their unwavering support.
“I get a boost from the Chelsea fans getting excited when I’m on the ball,” Mudryk said on Chelsea TV. “I genuinely appreciate all of our fans’ support; I cherish them. I appreciate their help. I always try to give it my all.”
Mudryk acknowledged earlier in the interview that the match versus Brighton was not at all simple. He mentioned the difficulty of being a man light, but he also complimented his teammates’ moral fiber.
“We’re thrilled with the outcome, but the last ten to fifteen minutes were really tense. It’s always challenging to have an extra ten minutes.”It’s never easy to play ten versus eleven. However, we scored three excellent points tonight, and I’m really proud of our team.”
On Wednesday night, Chelsea and Manchester United will square off in a major match. Both teams will be hankering after the three points because they are not where they want to be.
