Ratings of Chelsea players versus Manchester United: Discordant Sterling Raheem and others Once again, the careless Blues fall victim to Mykhailo Mudryk’s terrible performances
Due to a lack of оffensive production and a shredded defense, Mauricio Pochettino’s team lost at Old Trafford.
On Wednesday, Chelsea’s inconsistent play under Mauricio Pochettino was on full display as they lost 2-1 to Manchester United, crushing any chance of a season-opening victory for the Blues.
The Blues got off to a sluggish start, and they owe a debt of gratitude to Robert Sanchez for a penalty save that Bruno Fernandes received following a foul on Antony by Enzo Fernandez in the penalty area. Midway through the first half, the hosts took the lead thanks to a goal from Scott McTominay, which the goalie was unable to stop.
Cole Palmer equalized for Chelsea just before halftime with a beautiful hooked finish into the bottom corner after Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk missed good opportunities.
However, United were able to capitalize on their dominance in the second half, as McTominay scored his second goal of the match with a header with just over 20 minutes remaining to send Chelsea crashing to the ground and drop them to 10th place in the Premier League.
Chelsea players’ GOAL ratings at Old Trafford…
Robert Sanchez (5/10): Goalkeeper and Defender:
In the first half, he kept Chelsea in the game with a number of impressive saves, including a penalty and a fantastic double stop that denied McTominay. Neither goal was even really close, but a couple of careless clearances marred an otherwise impressive performance.
Five stars for Marc Cucurella:
After a rough start at right back, he appeared to be regaining his footing in the second half’s cоnfrоntatiоn with Garnacho before being replaced for halftime.
The Axel Disasi rating is 4 out of 10.
Much too careless with the ball, particularly when he was on the brink of his own penalty area. He was notorious for making ill-advised passes that put his teammates under unnecessary strеss.
Silva Thiago (5/10):
When drawn out, United’s attackers routinely beаt him despite his best efforts to rally the Blues’ defense. Appeared to be really old.
Colwill, Levi (5/10):
Received the captain’s armband and, despite a shaky start against Antony, settled into the game by halftime. He was taken down too easily when McTominay dribbled past him to score United’s second goal.
Enzo Fernandez(5), a midfielder,:
United were awarded a penalty due to an idiotic foul on Antony. He struggled to adapt to the game’s tempo and, despite displaying some good touches, was unable to exert the dominance he craved.
Rating for Moises Caicedo: 7 out of 10
the top outfielder for Chelsea by a significant margin. An even-keeled midfielder, yet his efforts were rendered meaningless by the mayhem engulfing the field.
Powell, Cole (6/10):
For most of the first half, he was careless with the ball, but he scored a beautiful equalizer upon his return to Manchester. No noise as the Blues’ momentum dwindled in the second half.
Raveen Sterling (2 out of 10):
This was, by a wide margin, his weakest game of a promising season. Not only did he not link up with his teammates in the forwards, but his night was capped off by his egregious dive in an attempt to earn a penalty in the first half.
Four out of ten stars for Nicolas Jackson:
His enthusiasm is contagious, yet his work falls short of expectations. During the buildup to United’s first goal, he gave the ball away and had a fantastic opportunity to score when Onana saved his shot in the first half.
Thumbs up for Mykhailo Mudryk:
He was largely unnoticed for the majority of his 75 minutes on the field and missed two excellent opportunities to score. Got the assist on Palmer’s goal, but that was about it as far as his positive contributions went.
Ryan Reece (5/10) and the manager:
Still another who was careless with the ball and nearly set up Garnacho for United’s third goal. Moving future, it will be marginally better.
Rank: 6/10 — Armando Broja:
Immediately after replacing Mudryk, he came near with a header, but it Һit the post.
Three points for Mauricio Pochettino:
Appears to have misplaced his defenders and was at a loss for responses to United’s relentless pressing. Although he was limited by a lack of bench options, his substitutions were ineffective.
