Someone from ESPN says that the two Chelsea players are “miles away” from Declan Rice’s level.

TоgetҺer, tҺоugҺ, tҺey Һаven’t quite Һit tҺe ҺeigҺts tҺаt were ҺоpeԀ fоr yet. TҺis wаs mаԀe cleаr wҺen CҺelseа lоst 2-1 tо MаncҺester UniteԀ оn tҺe rоаԀ lаst nigҺt in tҺe Premier Leаgue.

Both Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are 22 years old, and the two midfielders can do a lot of different things. It looks like they would a great match. To be fair, Blues partner Conor Gallagher has played better so far this season than both of the expensive signings.

Still, Fernandez is desperately trying to show why he was worth the £106.8 million Sky Sports paid to bring him to Stamford Bridge in January. Also, Caicedo has a huge £115 million price tag (Sky Sports) on his head after joining in the summer.

Steven Nicol slams Chelsea midfielders on ESPN Steve Nicol doesn’t think Caicedo or Fernandez are doing enough for Chelsea.

It’s interesting that he compared them to Declan Rice, who moved to Arsenal for £105 million (Sky Sports) in the summer. As an all-around defender for Arsenal, the England star is living up to his price tag.

“We talked yesterday about Declan Rice,” Nicol told ESPN. That sports player is worth £100 million. You wouldn’t pay £100 million for Caicedo and Fernandez right now because they are so far away from Declan Rice. “If you’re going to spend £200 million on two guys in the middle of the park, they better be making a lot of plays.” Since they signed, I don’t remember them being in charge of anyone. When you spend £200m, you can’t have that.

Declan Rice is being chased by Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

We’re nоt gоing tо аrgue thаt Rice hаs hаd а much better seаsоn thаn his Chelseа fоes sо fаr.

But no one is surprised that 24-year-old Rice has gone from being a star in the Premier League with West Ham to playing for a strong Arsenal team that is trying to win the title.

Fernandez and Caicedo have been under a lot of heat from the start to do well for a team that is stuck in the middle of the table.

Yesterday night, Ally McCoist said on Prime Video that he was “disappointed” with Fernandez and Caicedo’s play in Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

We’re not ready to give up on the bright young people.
