Real Madrid can re-sign the former defender with President Perez’s famous enigma for just €8M

Miguel Gutierrez has come a long way at Girona this season. This 22-year-old left-back is noteworthy because he played in Real Madrid Castilla’s first team before departing Los Blancos in August 2022 to play regularly in the first team.

Real Madrid has discussed bringing the former star back as of right now, and Carlos Forjanes of AS has reported that they might be able to do so for a reasonable price.

The journalist notes that the team from the Spanish capital can sign him for only €8 million, even though his release clause is for €40 million.

How on earth is that even feasible?Even after Gutierrez relocated to Girona from Madrid, Real Madrid continued to have complete control over his future.

With perseverance, Real Madrid achieved their preferential transfer plan—which was similar to the Fran García agreement—during the transfer.

They chose to only sell half of Gutierrez’s sports rights for a profit of between €4 and €5 million. They also ensured that a reasonable buyback option would be available.

Should Real Madrid choose to reclaim the youthful full-back, his transfer would only cost them €8 million. However, other clubs around the world have a much harsher release clause—five times that amount, or €40 million.

It’s interesting to note that Girona has to give Madrid advance notice if this clause is ever activated.

Real Madrid needs a left-back.Because Garcia hasn’t yet won over Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid doesn’t currently have a left back, and they want to sell Ferland Mendy to get the most money possible out of him.

In the interim, both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid’s full-back, Alphonso Davies, are interested in each other and are closely monitoring each other.

But it’s crucial to keep in mind that more than one left-back could join in the 2019 summer if the team decides to explore other possibilities.
