Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz is already outperforming Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo

Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz is already outperforming Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, according to Joe Cole, who thinks Arsenal will have to spend more than £100 million to acquire Luiz.

Among Arsenal’s midfield objectives for the upcoming January transfer window is the Brazilian.

The 25-year-old was rewarded with a new deal by Villa last year, which keeps him committed to the club until 2026. However, it is understood that the Gunners would have to sell players to finance the move.

Cole is also certain that if Arsenal wаnted to get one of Villa’s important players to sell, they would have to make another big-money move.

The price tag surrounding Declan Rice, Moises Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandes has to be around that, Cole told TNT Sports.

His play has been on par with theirs—if not better than Caicedo—recently. In the same vein, Rice has been superb.

“However, he’s a tremendous asset to the club and is in and around those numbers.”

Despite interest from both Arsenal and Liverpool, Luiz has insisted that staying at Villa is his choice.

At present, I am at Aston Villa, but I am delighted to hear the rumors,’ the Brazilian told Sky Sports last week.

I am entirely devoted to this. The stories don’t hold my attention for long periods of time. They are there, but I don’t dwell on them or give them my undivided attention. At Aston Villa, my thoughts are centered.

Unai is, without a doubt, a fantastic manager. The course of the club’s history has been altered by his arrival. The English powerhouse club Aston Villa was having a rough go of it. Unai made the modification. Fans hold the team and its players in more esteem now.

I feel like I’m at the pinnacle of my career right now. Although the boss is somewhat demanding, I also feel that he has been really helpful to me. To keep developing and evolving brings me more joy than anything else.
