Before Ja Morant’s return from suspension, Thunder dominate Grizzlies in final game

The Memphis Grizzlies faced a tough defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, losing 116-97. Despite a quick start, the Grizzlies couldn’t maintain their momentum, falling to a 6-19 record for the season. The loss highlighted ongoing challenges, including injuries that left coach Taylor Jenkins with limited point guard options.

With star player Ja Morant set to return in the next game against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Grizzlies hope to bounce back from this defeat.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with an impressive 30 points, and Chet Holmgren contributed 17, leading to a substantial lead in the second and third quarters. The fourth quarter saw the Grizzlies’ starters pulled from the game, emphasizing the need to regroup for upcoming challenges.

Ziaire Williams emerged as the leading scorer for the Grizzlies, finishing with 19 points off the bench.
