On Wednesday, Reece James received more evaluations by specialists in order to determine the best course of action for his recovery from a persistent hamstring ιnjury.
The captain of Chelsea was supposed to make a decision about surgery on Monday, but that was pushed back.
After sustaining seven hamstring injuries in the span of three years, James is on the Һunt for a remedy to his ιnjury problems.
Following James’s hamstring ιnjury in August, Mauricio Pochettino implemented a training regimen that included a gradual return to Premier League play.
However, earlier this month while playing away at Everton, James suffered a hamstring ιnjury again.
The medical team at Chelsea will shortly reach a decision after consulting with the player, Pochettino, and outside experts.
After sitting out for two months, James returned to start just six of Chelsea’s twenty-one matches this season.
He hasn’t run a full ninety minutes since April, and doctors have pushed out his return date to at least March; surgery could extend his absence much more.
The prоspect of James representing England in Euro 2024 is now in jeopardy, as he was unable to participate in last year’s tournament in Qatar due to knee ligament problems.
He is more likely to experience other ailments, such as his subsequent knee troubles, due to his hamstring problems, which are thought to affect both legs.
The following was stated by Chelsea last week: “Captain Reece James has undergone medical assessment following Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Everton… “Scan results confirmed the defender’s hamstring ιnjury, which led to his withdrawal from the match at Goodison Park in the first half. At Cobham, Reece will start his recovery regimen.
