Paul Scholes, a legend in his own right at Manchester United, has commented on Rasmus Hojlund’s strike in United’s 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.

Ten minutes before halftime, Rasmus Hojlund scored the game-winning goal. Right-winger Alejandro Garnacho had two goals disallowed and had a third disallowed as well.

Paul Scholes, a former midfielder, shared his assessment of the Danish striker’s performance in an interview with Premier League productions. Scholes thinks the 20-year-old forward was fortunate to continue playing.

“He does get a little bit of luck with the goal,” Scholes said to Premier League Productions following the match.

I’m glad he’s out there. According to Michael Owen, though, “when you have not been scoring goals, it is always best to not have time about it and act on instinct.”

Scholes thought the Dane was fortunate to be playing, but the Englishman couldn’t stop gushing about the former Atalanta striker.

“[The aim] is completely unimportant to him. He claimed that it occurs in an instant. The far corner is his sole focus since that’s where he knows he can score.

I am overjoyed for the boy. He has had a rocky start to his career in the Premier League. It would be great if he could find his groove and score the goals he truly deserves.

“It was a lovely finish, not an easy finish at all” was Michael Owen’s assessment of the finale when he was on Premier League Productions. Stumbling uncomfortably on your left foot.

Compared to other players, he had a very little window of opportunity to score, right inside the post.

The Danish striker scored five goals during United’s brief Champions League run, including a brace against Galatasaray at Old Trafford and a stunning solo effort in his second goal.

While the Danish striker was wasteful with his goal-scoring opportunities in the Premier League, Hojlund had few such opportunities.

Though he has struggled to find success with the wingers, the 20-year-old may find his stride with Marcus Rashford and Garnacho, the starting duo he had against Villa.

Upon the ball’s arrival in the Villa net, Hojlund’s expression of relief was evident. Something fantastic must have begun with this.
