Erik ten Hag has cautioned Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez might be out for a few more weeks before they can return to play

Casemiro last played on September 1st due to a hamstring problem, and Martinez has been sidelined since September with a foot ιnjury.

Ten Hag has not promised that either Argentinian or Brazilian would be back in action this month, though it is still possible.

The manager of the Red Devils has been practicing on grass for several days, but he still thinks the defender and midfielder may need weeks to take the “next steps” towards a return.

The players have been back on the grass for quite some time, and now they are getting back into team training, but only partially, according to Ten Hag, who spoke at a news conference before Monday night’s FA Cup match against Wigan.

It can take a few days—or even weeks—for them to decide what to do next.

Despite United’s extensive ιnjury list, several players, including Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, and Harry Maguire, are expected to return for the 14 January Premier League match against Tottenham.

Coming back from the sickness that sidelined him in last week’s loss to Nottingham Forest, Rasmus Hojlund is expected to make an appearance on Monday against Wigan. His return is expected to be even sooner than that.

“He will come back,” Ten Hag declared. He wasn’t feeling well before the game versus Forest since he pulled out right before.

We were counting on him to play the day before, but he withdrew from the game just before kickoff. Fortunately, he is already back in training.
