As a freshman, Bronny James is playing basketball for the USC Trojans off the bench. His small part hasn’t, however, put an end to rumors about his possible NBA career. According to ESPN’s NBA insider Brian Windhorst, teams are already scouting him. Windhorst did so down to a name.
The Miami Heat are reportedly already scouting Bronny James, according to Windhorst, who has extensive experience covering the LeBron James family. The squad won two titles and four NBA Finals under LeBron’s direction.
The Heat would be an ideal team for James’s development. They have a track record of developing undrafted and second-round prospects into valuable NBA players out of underappreciated talent. Caleb Martin, Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, Duncan Robinson, and others are just a few examples.
NBA fans are thrilled about the possibility that James will sign with the Heat. When they learned about the possible pairing, many fans expressed their happiness.
A admirer wrote, “Spo would make him godly.”
Some fans were unimpressed, but that fan wasn’t the only one who had grand thoughts about a James family member wearing a Heat uniform. Just check out a few of the top ones that are listed below.
The Heat’s acquisition of Bronny James may possibly portend more significant news for Miami. LeBron, his father, has long stated that he would like to play with his son in the NBA during his last season. James would feel more at home in Miami, where he could revisit the location of his two championship victories with his swan song.
Bronny James’s USC stats
There may already be some NBA scout interest in Bronny James. He hasn’t, however, had the anticipated national impact in college basketball.
The USC Trojans have had a difficult start to the campaign. As Pac-12 play gets underway, they are 8-7.
James is seeing little playing time after coming off the bench. He has occasionally had trouble with his shot while playing collegiate ball. In a game, he averages 6.7 points and 1.6 assists.
He has only participated in seven games. After overcoming a summertime cardiac crisis, he had a delayed start to the season. For James to join the team, he required medical clearance.
There’s plenty of time for James and the Trojans to bounce back. USC has two months to turn things around so that in the spring they can host March Madness.
In the Pac-12, the Trojans are one of four teams with a 2-2 record. They’ll have lots of chances to strengthen their tournament record against the conference’s best teams.
