It’s no secret that Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the NBA’s most dominant players. He has continued to encourage his siblings even if their status in the league is not the same as his. Giannis posted a highlight clip of his younger brother Kostas on his Instagram account along with the three-word compliment, “Come over here.”
Kostas’s ability to rapidly move to the moving center while en route to the hoop made the block spectacular. Just as it appeared that the opposing center would easily dunk, Kostas Antetokounmpo made a crucial chase-down block that rendered the shot ineffective.
After participating in 14 games for Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, Kostas is currently a player for Panathinaikos Athens. He spent his first three NBA seasons as well as a brief time with the G-League’s Windy City Bulls.
Fortunately, the younger brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo has made a name for himself in the EuroLeague.
What Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, and Luka Doncic have in common was explained by Thanasis.
According to Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews, Thanasis saw a single characteristic that all three players had in common: Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, and Luka Doncic.
“Mentality, I think,” Thanasis replied. “Luka was young when I first saw him in Dallas. He joined the league between the ages of 18 and 19. He didn’t appear to be 19 years old.”
Thanasis continued, “Giannis is a hardworking guy.” “He would try things out until he got them just right. It’s what you saw following the games. He plans to stay after the game to shoot [more free throws] if he makes poor free-throws.”
Given Giannis’ consistent style of play, it’s understandable where Thanasis is coming from. When it comes to basketball, he is the kind of player who might be regarded as a perfectionist. The Milwaukee Bucks star is an exception to the rule that few players who make it to the NBA are ready to put in the work.
Since joining the NBA for the first time in 2013, Giannis Antetokounmpo has only gotten better. He is scoring 31.4 points (60.7% overall, including 23.8% from 3-point range), pulling down 11.5 rebounds, and dishing out 5.9 assists a game on average this season. The Milwaukee Bucks standout has won two league MVP trophies and one NBA championship in his 11 seasons as a player.
He has also been selected to the All-NBA First Team five times and the All-Defensive First Team four times. He is a seven-time NBA All-Star.
The Milwaukee Bucks are currently ranked second in the Eastern Conference with a 25-12 record. They’ve won five of their last ten games and have a.676 winning percentage.
