United star displayed flashes of brilliance in tight tie vs Tottenham, contributing two crosses, two dribbles, and a goal

In a tҺrilling match at Old Trafford, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were able to draw 2-2.

Both teams were able to claim victory thanks to goals from Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford.

Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur were the goal scorers for Tottenham.

Tottenham enjoyed 64% of the ball possession compared to United’s 36%.

Out of nine attempts, the Red Devils were only able to get two shots on goal. On the other hand, Ange Postecoglou’s squad managed to muster 16 shots, six of which necessitated a save from Andre Onana.

United completed 304 passes at a 76% clip. Conversely, Tottenham had an 89% success rate while stringing 538 passes.

Marcus Rashford was one of United’s somewhat better performers in a game where the majority of the other players failed to impress.

In a season where he has faltered in consistency, the Englishman found the back of the net four times in all competitions.

With his goal against the Lily Whites, Rashford passed former United striker and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in terms of goals scored by United players.

Rashford got 41 touches during his time on the pitch before being substituted for Antony in the 87th minute.

Three shots were attempted by him.

Two crosses were handed by the alumnus of Carrington Academy. Furthermore, he managed to finish off two of the dribbles he started.

It was unfortunate that Rashford did not earn a brace since one of his shots went into the woodwork.

The England international should feel more assured going into the Red Devils’ next fixtures after scoring against Tottenham.

The fourth round of the FA Cup will be played in two weeks’ time, and United will be playing either Eastleigh or Newport County.
