LeBron James is 39 years old and still performing at an amazing level. On the other hand, the LA Lakers’ season hasn’t gone as planned. James’ future with the team in 2025 was discussed by ESPN’s “Brian Windhorst and the Hoop Collective” podcast host Windhorst in their most recent edition.
This then takes into account the likelihood that the Lakers star will play for a new team in the upcoming season. If he decides to take his skills elsewhere, he is still a top-tier player who will attract interest from many organizations despite his advanced age.
Several NBA fans responded to Windhorst’s remarks with their own thoughts.
“I thought everybody knew he’s leaving the Lakers for whatever team drafts his kid.”
NBA fans have been speculating about the 19-time All-Star’s next team to play for as he will probably have a lot of options. LeBron James still has a lot of energy remaining, so how he responds to that will depend on his preferences and frame of mind.
James has also stated on multiple occasions that he is prepared to play till his kid Bronny James joins the league. That being said, it is unknown what the four-time NBA champion will do when this season concludes.
LeBron James discussed his intention to play in the NBA with Bronny James.
LeBron James of the Lakers revealed in an interview with ESPN’s Dave McMenamin that he would like to play in the NBA with his son, Bronny James.
James declared, “I have to be on the floor with Bronny; I need to be on the floor with my boy.” either wearing the same outfit as him or going up against him. He’s a point guard and I’m a… at this time, I’m playing center or whatever the team wants from me, so I don’t mean like (guarding one another all game). But doing the whole Ken Griffey Jr. and Sr. thing would be my dream. Undoubtedly, that would be perfect.”
James has long desired to fulfill his noble ambition of spending quality time with his son while playing NBA basketball. In the event that Bronny and the Lakers star decide to play together in the NBA, Bronny will need to put in just as much work as the player did to get to this stage in his career.
Bronny, a freshman for the USC Trojans, averages 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 5.2 points (34.8% shooting, including 23.1% from 3-point range) per game. He didn’t begin playing, though, until last month, after a four-month scare brought on by a cardiac attack.
