No more Jadon Sancho drаmа! Manchester United maintain that Anthony Martial has not been benched from first team training due to his ongoing sickness.
Martial has been out with an ailment that the United team has not yet identified since mid-December. Erik ten Hag has reportedly decided that the Frenchman is not fit enough to train with the rest of the team, which has kept the forward away from the first-team group, according to a recent Daily Mail story.
When players return to the team after an absence, they typically follow Martial’s individual programme, which GOAL has learned is club policy. Players like Casemiro, Mason Mount, and Lisandro Martinez all had periods of independent training to bring themselves up to speed before getting back into the regular training routine. In contrast to Jadon Sancho, who was banished from the first team before joining Borussia Dortmund last month, the Frenchman’s situation is unique.’
Up until he was sick, Martial played a regular role for United. Only five of his thirteen Premier League appearances came from the starting lineup, the most recent being a match against Bournemouth on December 9. His lone league goal came in November’s 3-0 victory over Everton.
After turning down offers from Marseille, Fenerbahce, and Saudi Arabian teams, Anthony Martial reportedly want to remain at Old Trafford for the rest of the season. The center forward has an option to extend his contract for another year, but his current agreement ends in the summer.
Serhou Guirassy: Man United target performs transfer U-turn and tells Stuttgart bosses he wants to stay
According to reports, Serhou Guirassy, a striker for Stuttgart who was supposedly being pursued by Manchester United, has shifted his transfer attitude and is reportedly not interested in making a move this month.
There have been numerous rumours linking Guirassy to United, and he was supposedly on Erik ten Hag’s wishlist for potential оffensive reinforcements.
United are keen to add an experienced striker to their roster so that Rasmus Hojlund can take a little more of a scoring load.
Even though he has seven goals for the Red Devils in all competitions, the Dane is still incredibly raw and unpolished.
It’s obvious that Hojlund has a ways to go before he’s ready to be United’s unofficial line leader.
United are rumоured to be interested in a number of goal scorers, including Guirassy, Joshua Zirkzee, Karim Benzema, and Mauro Icardi, among many others.
Among all potential targets, Guirassy stood out due to his modest £15.2 million release clause, which may be activated during the early phases of the current winter transfer window.
Fabian Wohlgemuth, Stuttgart’s director of football, recently told the media that he doesn’t think his team can keep parties interested in Guirassy at bay.
Sky Germany correspondent Florian Plettenberg reports that the Bundesliga chief may breathe a sigh of relief as Guirassy has stated his intention to stay at the MHPArena.
On top of that, Stuttgart may now offer Guirassy whatever sum they want since his release clause has expired.
Reports indicate that Serhou Guirassy would like to remain in Stuttgart throughout the winter, according to Plettenberg. Notified Stuttgart’s upper management of the 27-year-old striker’s choice!
“If there are no noteworthy events involving other clubs until the deadline (such as injuries or unexpecteԀ, outrageous offers), then this decision will be considered final.”
He is no longer eligible for winter release. There has been an uptick in interest from English clubs in him recently.
If United were planning to make a last-ditch attempt to sign Guirassy, they might have to reconsider their strategy.
