LeBron James celebrated his team’s victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night without waiting around. Instead, the Lakers legend hurried to the Los Angeles Crypto.com Arena locker room to see his son Bronny participate in the USC vs. Arizona game.

After the Lakers defeated the Trojans 127-110, LeBron answered questions from reporters in the locker room. He seemed preoccupied with the game broadcast, interjecting calls to the screen such as “pull it,” “shoot it,” and “good pass.”

James trailed D’Angelo Russell by 29 and Anthony Davis by 28 points at the end. On Wednesday, he contributed eight rebounds and eight assists, helping Los Angeles move to 21-21.

At the end of the season, Bronny, a freshman, recorded a game high of 11 points, six assists, and five rebounds. Through ten games, he has averaged 5.8 points, 1.9 assists, and 2.5 rebounds. James’s gaze was fixed on the TV in the locker room for the whole six minutes that he spent speaking with the media. He repeatedly paused in the middle of his response to address developments in the game.

At one time, James said, “Pull it.” I apologize. Take it off. Take it out. Oh, well done on the pass. Man, catch the f— ball. For this reason, you shoot it.

James went on to explain why he finds the viewing process so challenging.

James remarked, “Watching college basketball by yourself is difficult.” It gets worse when you include my son in it. It’s difficult to watch.

James responded to a follow-up question by criticizing the amateurish manner of play in college basketball.
