In the US, the NFL playoffs garner a lot of interest, and well-known individuals like Shaquille O’Neal join in the excitement. The three-time LA Lakers champion was among the Ravens fans enjoying the customary pregame tailgate prior to their AFC title game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Shaq was not only among the supporters of the Ravens, but he also used his DJing talents to energize the crowd and took the mic to raise the spirits of the supporters.
Shaq made fun of Taylor Swift, the Grammy Award-winning musician, who is the girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in addition to the standard team cheers.
In a video that one of the tailgate guests shared on X (formerly Twitter), the NBA icon is heard saying:
“Ravens fans, it’s going down!” Shaq screamed into a recording. “Taylor Swift we’re coming for you!”
Swift has caused division within the Chiefs’ fan base ever since she began going to games to cheer on Travis Kelce.
Some fans find it offensive that she is always featured on broadcasts and that, when the Chiefs play, the NFL posts about her on social media. Others, however, appreciate that she has contributed to the game’s introduction to a group of people who might not otherwise be interested in football.
When she attends games against the Chiefs, she has also been jeered by the supporters of the opposing clubs.

In the AFC championship game, the defense of the Kansas City Chiefs got things started by forcing the Ravens to a three-and-out, which gave Patrick Mahomes the ball. After leading his team down the field, Mahomes found Travis Kelce for a 19-yard touchdown throw.
On the following drive, Lamar Jackson answered by finding Zay Flowers on a 30-yard touchdown pass, tying the score. In response, Isiah Pacheco scored another touchdown for the Chiefs in the second quarter, and their defense kept the Ravens scoreless. Additionally, Harrison Butker made a 52-yard field goal to make the halftime score 17–7.
There were no points in the third quarter as both teams’ defenses forced mistake after mistake. It was a defensive showdown. The Chiefs’ lead was cut to just one touchdown in the fourth quarter when the Ravens, still within striking distance, struck again with a field goal. Nevertheless, they were finally defeated due to an expensive penalty and a blunder that resulted in a touchback.
