Ja’s unhappy day: Warriors all make history while Ja Morant can do nothing for the Grizzlies

The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies faced off in Tennessee on Friday night. Five players from the Warriors scored in double figures, securing a 121-101 victory.

In 27 minutes of play, Klay Thompson contributed 14 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block, shooting 6/15 from the field and 2/9 from three-point range.

Thompson achieved NBA history by surpassing Richard Jefferson (14,904) to claim the 153rd spot on the all-time scoring list, with the next milestone being Mike Mitchell (15,016).

With this win, the 12th-seeded Warriors improved to a 21-24 record in their first 45 games of the season, and their away record is now 8-11 in 19 games.

After defeating the Grizzlies, the Warriors will face Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night at State Farm Arena in Georgia.

Thompson, a veteran NBA player in his eleventh season with Golden State, has averaged 17.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 43 games, shooting 42.1% from the field and 38.2% from three-point range.

On the other hand, the Grizzlies hold the 13th spot in the Western Conference with an 18-31 record in their first 49 games, having lost their last four games consecutively.
