Great teammates constantly stand by one another, and Damian Lillard demonstrated this trait by standing up for Thanasis Antetokoumpo, a teammate on the Milwaukee Bucks. Given that he isn’t the team’s most talented player, the elder Antetokoumpo sibling frequently takes a lot of heat. Because of this, he would frequently be selected by a small percentage of fans as the NBA player they could defeat in a one-on-one contest.
But there’s a reason Thanasis plays in the NBA. Perhaps not to the same level as his younger brother Giannis. But he has the abilities to demonstrate that he belongs in the world’s greatest league. When Lillard guarded the forward, he brought that up.
Lillard claims that the forward for the Bucks is big enough to match up with whoever he is defending. Furthermore, the time he spends working out would be detrimental to the people who taunt him on social media.
Lillard remarked, “I see a lot of stuff about TA on social media.” Many of the individuals there may believe they are more skilled or have greater ability, but they will never be able to replace him.
“I would put good money that a lot of people talking on Twitter wouldn’t be able to beat him in a game of one-on-one.”
Over his career, Thanasis has never been a player with a lot of usage. The 6-foot-7 forward has played an average of 7.9 minutes per game over his career, so he doesn’t get much playing time either. Even if he hasn’t scored a lot of goals in his career, there’s a reason he was able to join the league.
Damian Lillard leaves off a second Antetokounmpo sibling from his list.
A lot of players have ideas on which celebrities they would like to collaborate with. Damian Lillard included four more players as the members of his ideal starting lineup. It’s interesting that Lillard did not include Giannis, his teammate, on the list.
“It would be me, LeBron [James], Steph [Curry], Kevin Durant and I’mma go with Bam Adebayo.”
Durant was the player Lillard selected to start at power forward instead of Antetokounmpo. He may have considered spreading the defense in his fictitious lineup because the former Portland Trail Blazers great is more effective when the defense is dispersed.
Fans were nonetheless taken aback when Lillard failed to add the Greek Freak in his initial roster. The All-Star guard may be adjusting to playing with a fellow All-NBA player.
