“Switching hands is OFD”: LeBron James Left in Awe as Kyrie Irving’s Mid-Air Hand Switch Leaves Everyone Perplexed

After Kyrie Irving switched hands in midair for an incredible layup against the Phoenix Suns at the American Airlines Center on Thursday, LeBron James was astounded by his pyrotechnics. One of the standouts of the guard’s 29-point performance in the Dallas Mavericks’ first game following the All-Star break was the hand switch. The team won 123-113.

With 41 points, nine rebounds, and eleven assists, Luka Doncic was the star of the show. Irving used his skill to further aggravate the Suns’ problems in the Mavericks victory.

James posted a video of Irving dribbling the rim and flinging his hands in midair to get the shot on Instagram. The superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers was astounded by what he witnessed and wrote:

“At first glance I thought he laid it with the left, which would still be tough, but switching hands is OFD!!!!!!!”

LeBron James couldn't believe Kyrie Irving's pyrotechnics

Irving blasted past three defenders and surprised the crowd with the layup. Cutting to Eric Gordon’s right, he then changed hands in midair, leaving Kevin Durant and Jusuf Nurkic to watch from the paint.

Irving has established himself as one of the hardest players to guard one-on-one throughout the years. He is one of the most deadly guards in the league when you combine his speed and ball handling skills.

Next season, will Kyrie Irving and LeBron James be back together?

The LA Lakers and Kyrie Irving have always been a hot topic of conversation. There were rumors after the trade deadline that LA was chasing some big names, including Irving, to put him in a partnership with LeBron James. Having played together and shared a championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the two got along well.

Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports that the Lakers are expected to pursue Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell, Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, and Mavs guard Irving, according to team and league sources.

The 31-year-old has played in 33 games this season, averaging 25.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. However, the erratic point guard has missed games for Dallas due to injury.

The Lakers, who have been searching for another ball handler and a strong offensive weapon to relieve LeBron James of some of his workload, would greatly benefit from the addition of Irving.

Kyrie Irving might decide to leave Dallas if they have yet another dismal campaign. Although they appear ready for the postseason, this was the same situation before to their early offseason last season.
