KING OF DRIBBING: Man Utd Mason Greenwood creates top performance with 100% dribble in Getafe’s 6-goal match
Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United loanee, continued to play well for Getafe in their exciting La Liga matchup against Las Palmas at home.
Greenwood, who is enjoying an incredible season on the continent, scored his team’s second goal in the 3-3 draw.
The United player was involved from the start, attempting one effort before Jamie Mata’s well-executed strike off a recycled corner gave Getafe the lead ten minutes in.
A lively first half of play was capped by Greenwood’s deft run around Alvaro Valles to score Getafe’s second goal in just three minutes after being granted leeway in the Las Palmas half.
.
As he bore in on goal, the 22-year-old was never going to miss, skillfully finishing with his eighth of the season to put the home team ahead.
They maintained control until the 35th minute, when former Everton striker Sandro Ramirez curled in a beautiful 20-yard shot to cut the lead in half.
But in the last minute of the half, Nemanja Maksimovic scored a header to give Getafe a two-goal advantage going into halftime.
.
Greenwood scored five goals in the first forty-five minutes, demonstrating his rapid ascent to the position of Getafe’s primary offensive weapon. A good first period was marred only by a tardy yellow card.
Greenwood’s second half, meanwhile, fell short of his first as Getafe strangely gave away their lead to allow the opposition to share the points.
Before the hour, Greenwood and his teammates were unable to respond to goals from Mika Marmol and Munir, and the game ended in a draw.
Greenwood will be happy with his own performance despite the lost points, especially in the first half when the striker was at the peak of his abilities.
Greenwood demonstrated in this exciting game that he is Getafe’s best dribbler by making five of his five dribbles successful. Additionally, he played quite well on defense, winning 5 out of 6 duels and recording 7 recoveries.

A return to the first team would be unexpected, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe has stated that his INEOS consortium will be taking a “fresh look” at Greenwood’s circumstances at United.
The forward’s future is probably not at Old Trafford, so United will be hoping that he can continue to play well through the end of the season to increase his market worth.
After being charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior, and assault resulting in actual bodily damage, Greenwood stopped playing for United. He played his final game for the team in January 2022.
