According to reports, Manchester United players have criticized Erik ten Hag’s training techniques, with some speculating that the team’s ιnjury problem may be related to his rigorous practices.

Due to fitness concerns, Ten Hag was obliged to start in place of Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans during United’s 3-1 loss at the Etihad on Sunday in the Manchester derby, where the team was without nine players.

This season, United has seen 47 distinct occurrences of illnesses and injuries that have caused players to miss at least one game.Furthermore, as reported by the Manchester Evening News, a few players think that ten Hag’s training regimen might be the cause.

The players at United, who participated in 62 games across all competitions last season, have reportedly complained that training has been too hard.Alejandro Garnacho, Diogo Dalot, and Bruno Fernandes are the only United outfield players who have not been injured this year.

In all competitions, Tyrrell Malacia has missed 37 games; Lisandro Martinez has missed 27; Mason Mount has missed 24 games; and Luke Shaw has missed 22, games.Meanwhile, Anthony Martial and Casemiro have missed 17 and 14 games respectively.

Speaking following the loss to City, ten Hag expressed his hope that following the end of March’s international break, the ιnjury problem would get better.

“I had to remove both Evans and Rashford.” They battled to participate in the game, but we had to take them off and substitute them after 60 or 70 minutes, he said.

We’re working to get players back, and after the international break in particular, I believe players will return in the upcoming weeks.

“Hopefully, Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans recover quickly so we can use them against Everton in our next game.”

Premier Injuries last week revealed that United has sustained 28 injuries so far this season, which is the second-highest number in the Premier League behind Newcastle’s 29.Following the loss to City, United dropped to sixth place in the standings, 19 points behind league leaders Liverpool and 11 behind Aston Villa in fourth.

On Saturday, United will return to play at Old Trafford when they welcome Everton in the early kickoff.
