LeBron James and Savannah Brinson first crossed paths in 2002 while attending separate high schools in Ohio, coinciding with LeBron’s rise to national fame. The initial promise of his career was immense, yet he surpassed even those lofty expectations.
At 37, he’s not merely a veteran figure in the NBA, but rather the driving force behind its modern business, politics, and image. Additionally, he proudly embraces his role as a family man. LeBron and Savannah tied the knot in 2013, and together they are raising three children: Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri.
As LeBron gears up for his 20th season as a prominent figure in the NBA and its ever-expanding cultural influence, his family has taken on increasingly prominent roles within the landscape he has helped shape. V.F. had the opportunity to join them at their Los Angeles residence for their inaugural family photoshoot, which included Savannah’s parents, Jennifer and JK, as well as LeBron’s mother, Gloria. According to Savannah, this gathering marked a transitional moment for her children.
For Bronny, who will turn 18 in October and currently plays as a guard for the powerhouse basketball team at Sierra Canyon High School, it’s a time to begin contemplating his career path and life decisions. Meanwhile, Zhuri, a precocious seven-year-old, has her own successful YouTube lifestyle show called “All Things Zhuri,” which features segments on baking, yoga, and painting. As for Bryce, 15, Savannah affectionately refers to him as “the mystery of the family,” as he possesses the potential to pursue various paths, although he is also highly regarded as a basketball prospect.
During Sierra Canyon games, celebrities can be found both on the court and in the stands, and Savannah has noticed her children adapting to this environment. She remarked, “With LeBron being their dad, it’s just natural. It’s not something we’ve forced or instructed them to do; it’s just how things unfolded.”
