LeBron James and Savannah James are widely known in the NBA world, but their most cherished roles are that of parents. Together, they have three children: LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., aged 19, Bryce Maximus, aged 16, and Zhuri Nova, aged 9. Bronny and Bryce were born prior to the couple’s wedding in 2013, while Zhuri arrived a little over a year after their marriage.
From their social media presence, it’s evident that both Bronny and Bryce harbor aspirations to follow their father’s footsteps on the basketball court. In a February 2022 interview with The Athletic, LeBron disclosed his intention to spend his final NBA season playing alongside his eldest son. He expressed, “My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be.”
LeBron reiterated these sentiments in a 2022 Sports Illustrated feature, sharing, “I put it out there because I like to converse with the basketball gods and see if things can materialize. Throughout my career, I’ve always set goals, conversed with the basketball gods, and they’ve listened to every one of them. Hopefully, they’ll listen to this final one too.” Bronny and Bryce also graced the cover of the issue alongside their father, under the tagline “Chosen Sons,” a nod to LeBron’s iconic Sports Illustrated cover in 2002, which famously hailed him as “The Chosen One.”
