What Giannis Antetokounmpo has accomplished is beyond the imagination of other players. One of the all-time greats in the NBA believes that the Greek Freak is unique because, despite his many achievements, he is constantly seeking methods to get better.
After working out with the two-time MVP in Houston, Hakeem Olajuwon had nothing but praise for him.
Giannis keeps getting better
Olajuwon thought Antetokounmpo’s continued dedication to honing his profession was “amazing.”
“Watching a player like Giannis continue to strive for improvement and elevate his game is truly remarkable.” According to Mark Berman, Olajuwon stated, “That just says a lot about him, his work ethic, and his determination to be the very best he can be.”
Olajuwon, who spent 19 seasons in the Association, was selected for 12 All-Star teams, won two NBA titles, and was the recipient of one MVP award, loved his time with Giannis.
Working with him was an honor for me, and it was a lot of fun and excitement since our backgrounds are similar—his parents are from Nigeria. We talked about a variety of topics, including and excluding basketball. It was really lovely, Hakeem remarked.
Determined to bounce back
Giannis spent time working out with Hakeem because he wants to do everything in his power to help the Milwaukee Bucks win this season after a dismal season.
Following their unexpected first-round exit the previous season, the Bucks took a lot of heat. Milwaukee finished the regular season well and earned the top seed in the playoffs. But the Bucks faltered in the postseason, losing to the eighth-seeded Miami Heat in just five games, and they were unable to advance past the first round.
